Vulnerable Customer Administrator
Description:
The UK Vulnerable Customer Unit sits within the UK Customer Relations within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer within Bank of Ireland UK. Set up in late 2019, we are responsible for the full management of bereavement notifications across accounts offered under the AA, PO and NI/GB brands.
We are now growing our services beyond bereavement notifications to include vulnerable customers, offering a service to identify additional account holdings for our customers following the initial notification / identification of a vulnerability.
Purpose:
Under FCA regulations the Bank is required to provide a “tell us once” service for our vulnerable customers. As a result, a customer need only tell us once of their vulnerability, and we should apply notes and reasonable adjustments to any other accounts held in that customers name, irrespective of brand.
Accountabilities:
- Opening and reviewing new Vulnerable Customer data feeds from the wider business.
- Accurately recording the referral on the relevant workflow systems (RESPOND proposed).
- Checking core systems for all products held by the customer and recording them on the workflow system.
- Issuing instructions to business areas impacted by identified accounts that action required in relation to one of their customers.
- Supporting the wider unit with both “tell us once” checks for Bereavement and wider Administrative tasks.
- Maintaining knowledge of Customer Relations administrative activity to ensure ability to cover gaps / spikes in business volumes when required.
Skills:
- Excellent personal organisation and time management.
- Strong decision making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of bank systems.
