Description:
Our Wakefield Property Partnership with Engie provides Project and Professional Services (PPS) and Property and Estate Management (PEM) services for Wakefield Council based in West Yorkshire. Wakefield is Arcadis’ largest local government client in the UK.
As a sub-contractor to Engie the PPS team provide design and technical services for all projects with a value in excess of £250,000, including substantial building fabric and MEP renewal schemes, as well as new build projects. The PPS team provide all services through RIBA stages, across a range of property typologies – civic, office, schools, leisure centres, heritage assets, depots, industrial, parks, stadia, energy.
Accountabilities:
As a senior member of the Arcadis leadership team, you will be responsible for oversight and operational delivery of all Arcadis’ PPS and PEM services on the Wakefield commission. Reporting to you will be the PPS Lead, PEM Lead and Strategy Lead who will be responsible for their service areas. You will be supported by an Assistant Programme Manager
The Head of Property role is responsible for co-ordination of our service delivery as a cohesive programme of activity aligned to our project controls and processes as set by our Programme Management Office (PMO). With focus on operational delivery, you will be the senior point of escalation for PPS and PEM, Engie and the Council as our ultimate client. You will be the contact for Engie’s Partnership Director and maintain and develop relationships with Council Corporate and Service Directors.
Qualification:
- Bring a comparable career history with a deep understanding of local government partnerships as this role will assume responsibility for the commercial performance of the Engie/Wakefield account.
- Have experience in annual commercial plan setting, leading client account plans via quarterly meetings, take responsibility for continual improvement to drive debt collection, margin improvement, adoption of digital and Management Information (MI) tools and systems.
- Taking the lead for all contractual matters opposite Engie, supported by Assistant Programme Manager and Business Director you will be adept with managing and maintaining key MI data including the commercial pipeline.
- Supporting colleagues in developing client relations with key client services, e.g property, regeneration, arts and culture, you will have strong communication skills to chair/lead numerous meetings with a variety of stakeholders.
