Job Description:
We are seeking a Post-doctoral Research Associate to develop novel signal processing algorithms for tracking and surgical navigation with robotic ultrasound guidance. This recruitment is part of the research endeavour of the newly established Department of Surgical and Interventional Engineering within the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences that focuses on translating novel real-time multimodal imaging modalities in conjunction with novel surgical instrumentation to clinical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Development of a novel ultrasound tracking and surgical navigation system
- Development of signal processing algorithms for ultrasound tracking and navigation
- Evaluate and validate the developed algorithms and system
- Present key findings at scientific conferences
- Prepare high-quality manuscripts for publication
- Liaise with key biomedical engineering and surgical collaborators at King’s College London
Skills & Experience:
- PhD in biomedical engineering, computer vision, surgical robotics, or a closely-related field.
- Demonstrable experience in biomedical signal processing.
- A track record of peer-reviewed publications in high quality scientific conferences and journals.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and specialties and communicate technical concepts to people from other fields.
